Bibbidi Bobbidi Boop! Cinderella!

"I like Cinderella, I really do. She has a good work ethic. I appreciate a good, hard-working gal. And she likes shoes. The fairy tale is all about the shoe at the end, and I'm a big shoe girl." Amy Adams

Casual Cosplay is fun and all but sometimes you just want to go on a full blown costume adventure!

I put this costume together for my birthday, which was of course Disney themed. When Oz Comic Con came to Perth I decided I'd use the opportunity to wear the dress again and ended up joining Perth Allied Costumers which provided me more reasons to wear the dress.

My sister and I grew up watching Disney cartoons and Cinderella was always one of our favourites so when I was choosing what style to go with I had to go Classic Cindy. After all she was my cinderella.

The dress I actually purchased from a costume store online, I wont link to them because I was incredibly unhappy with the purchase, I paid extra for the custom size and it was so far off it wasn't funny. It also had bits missing which I had to create myself. Despite my attempts at getting it fixed they basically blew me off so I had to adjust it myself.

So I added a bunch of stuff and in the end I was really happy with the look, I added two hoop skirts underneath for poofyness, both of which I bought off eBay for about $8 inc postage!

I am still on the hunt for the perfect Cinderella shoes which wont cost me an arm and a leg, but at the moment i'm using my Clear plastic and diamante encrusted Betsey Johnson shoes I felt there were pretty close!

Doing squats in high heels all day as Cinderella was quite a work out!
