Down the rabbit hole.

"Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle." Alice

I put together this Alice in Wonderland outfit for a very special occasion, I didn't have a lot of time to pull it together so I created it out of items that I already had in my wardrobe. I think it came together really well, I went for a more modern interpretation of the classic Disney Alice, rather than the new version.

Alice's amazing blue dress is the iconic part of her outfit, I couldn't match Alice's blue quite as perfectly as I would have liked but I think I captured the essence pretty well. This dress is from Review, I've owned it for a couple of years it's one of my favourites! It's soft silky fabric and the lace detail at the top is just stunning.

To try and bring in the white apron look from the Disney Alice I added a white satin belt ribbon from one of my other dresses, I was wearing this outfit out on the town so obviously I didn't really want to put an apron on it.

The white tights are from Alannah Hill, they have some of the most beautiful tights i've ever come across and they are a nice thickness so they don't tear easily. I added a pair of black shoes with straps that I purchased from Betts, I was pretty happy with how closely they resembled Alice's shoes, unlike Alice my shoes have a small heel, but I think that adds to the look.

To finish it off I put in one of my black headbands, in this picture I had originally used a combination of a headband and a bow that I owned, I wanted it to stick up a but rather than be flat on my head so I attached it via the pin and it came out pretty perfect! When I actually wore this outfit out I came across a different head band in a $2 shop that was perfect so I wore that instead.

It is winter in Perth so when I wore this on Saturday night I added a cashmere fluffy white bolero, I can't actually remember where I got this from but it went really well and kept me nice and warm.

Always remember, it's okay to be a little bit mad sometimes, and always be curious!
