The Batman Look

"Batman is a superhero without superpowers. He can walk into a room full of powerful people and take control. Batman commands respect and he doesn’t take shit from anyone." Mandy

If you are going to casual cosplay anyone The Batman is definitely a good choice, hopefully channelling the bat vibes will help you to feel more confident in your day!

When you break down the Batman look it comes down to one main essential that hopefully you already have in your wardrobe: A black dress. Unlike Bruce Wayne I am not a millionaire so utilising items I already have is a win in my book.

Modification: Try a black skirt and top, even shorts if you would prefer. Just remember the key here is keeping it simple. You want the leggings to be the focus.

The key “Batman-esque” feature in this is the leggings. The leggings shown were actually purchased off Asos a long time ago so they are no longer available but since then versions of these have popped up all over the internet (thank you internet). If you google “Batman Leggings” you will be met with a treasure trove of options.

I also like to wear my Batman Belt buckle with this. It helps break up all the black, but also, it made me feel like I was wearing a utility belt (which is awesome)

Pro Tip: I had the guy poke in some extra holes in the belt so I could wear it on my waist and hips.

Now this is a very personal thing, I wear these shoes from Novo because they are surprisingly comfy and I find the bulky heel looks sweet and gives me some extra height. But you can wear boots, stilettos, peep-toes, really anything with this.

Finally if you get a bit chilly fighting crime at night add a leather (or pleather) jacket to finish off the look, it makes you look cool (whatever that is).

People like to say "Always be yourself, unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman”. But I figure, why choose?
